About the Trust
Advanced Wellness Research Trust is a not-for-profit organisation established to improve health outcomes through education, clinical research, ethical oversight, and community-based initiatives. The Trust works across rural and urban populations in India, focusing on preventive care, research integrity, and inclusive development.
Objectives of the Trust
- To conduct continuing medical education programs in health and research.
- To conduct free treatment camps for poor patients, orphans, and physically challenged persons, and to organise blood donation camps.
- To improve health status among rural and urban populations and support backward villages and weaker sections through health awareness and integrated socio-economic activities.
- To create public awareness on health-related issues including:
- Nutritional problems in pregnancy
- Lifestyle disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, and sedentary lifestyle
- Major disorders including coronary artery disease, chronic kidney disease, and infectious diseases
- Malnutrition disorders among children
- Clinical and healthcare research
Research & Ethics
The Trust promotes a research-oriented attitude among clinicians for the benefit of patients and volunteers and for the progress of the country. The Trust aims to establish an Independent Ethics Committee in accordance with applicable local regulations and ethical guidelines.
Independent Ethics Committee – Key Responsibilities
- Protecting research participants and guiding researchers.
- Ensuring responsible conduct in research and ethical treatment of human research subjects.
- Ensuring participation in research is voluntary and informed consent is respected.
- Providing public assurance of participant protection.
- Reviewing all research involving human subjects before initiation.
- Protecting the rights of professionals involved in biomedical research.
- Conducting periodic reviews of ongoing research.
- Ensuring suitability of investigators, facilities, and consent documentation processes.
